Biography
Talia Johnson is a multimedia artist and musician from Los Angeles, California. Her primary visual mediums include drawing, painting, analogue and digital photography. As it currently stands, her practice involves crafting distinctly independent work that delve into themes of identity, culture, and notions of family.
She has dedicated herself to an arts-centered education since high school, graduating from a visual-performing arts charter school. Her journey continued through multiple institutions, including University of California, Davis, where she pursued studies in art and design. In 2023, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from California State University, Long Beach.
Coming from a creatively diverse family background, she has engaged in mix media and music performance since her formative years. Her overarching aspiration is to bring these two realms together to tell personal stories that impact meaningful change, through her perspective as a mixed-race creative woman in a constant state of introspection.
